Reed (the "Service") is a private personal household assistant operated by a Sole Proprietor for personal household use only. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and how it is protected.
The Service is a closed system. Only the Sole Proprietor and one explicitly authorized family member ("Authorized Users") may interact with the Service. There is no public sign-up. New users cannot subscribe.
The Service collects only what Authorized Users send to it, including:
Collected information is used solely to operate the assistant for the household. It is never used for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile phone numbers and the contents of SMS messages will not be sold, rented, traded, or shared with any third party, including marketing partners. All categories of personal information (including phone numbers, message content, and household data) are excluded from third-party sharing for marketing.
Message frequency varies based on how often the Authorized User contacts the Service. Typical usage is a few messages to a few dozen messages per day. Message and data rates may apply based on the user's mobile carrier plan.
An Authorized User may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP.
Message content and household facts are stored encrypted at rest using AES-128 (Fernet) on a private server controlled by the Sole Proprietor. Data is not transmitted to third parties except as required to deliver the messages themselves (e.g., the messaging provider used to send SMS) and to power the language model that generates responses.
Message and household data is retained for as long as the Service is in use by the Authorized User. The Authorized User can request deletion at any time.
The Service is not intended for use by anyone under 18. The Service does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Questions about this Privacy Policy may be directed to the Sole Proprietor account holder via the email address registered with the SMS provider.
